End-to-End Household Wealth Planning Engagement
A fictional high-net-worth client engagement built to demonstrate how planning analysis becomes a coordinated, client-ready implementation system.
✦ Problem or opportunity
Bring structure to complexity.
A complex household can have strong income, multiple account types, competing goals, estate considerations, and no single view of what must happen next. The opportunity was to connect recommendations, account structure, communication, and monitoring into one coherent engagement.
✦ Role and approach
Think across the full system.
I designed the fictional client scenario, planning logic, implementation sequence, operating materials, and client-facing communication. The approach treats planning as a lifecycle—not a one-time report—and keeps the household’s priorities visible throughout every decision.
✦ Process
From insight to implementation.
- 01
Discovery and household profile
Organized people, priorities, balance-sheet data, cash flow, accounts, risks, and open questions into a structured household view.
- 02
Financial planning analysis
Modeled retirement, savings, liquidity, education, tax assumptions, and competing goals to identify gaps and tradeoffs.
- 03
Recommendation development
Translated analysis into sequenced recommendations with clear rationale, dependencies, and decision points.
- 04
Client presentation
Built a visual narrative that separates what matters now, what comes next, and what will be monitored over time.
- 05
Account structure and implementation
Mapped existing and proposed accounts, transitions, ownership, funding sources, and operational handoffs.
- 06
Client communication
Created recap language, action items, responsibilities, and follow-up materials designed to reduce ambiguity.
- 07
Monitoring and ongoing review
Designed a repeatable review framework for progress, portfolio signals, plan changes, and outstanding implementation work.

✦ Key decisions
What shaped the work
- Use a fictional household to demonstrate the complete advisory lifecycle without implying public financial advice.
- Separate analytical outputs from the client narrative so each can serve its audience clearly.
- Sequence actions by urgency, dependency, and client effort—not just topic.
- Treat implementation and monitoring as part of the advice experience.
